Rabbi Nathan Laufer, President Emeritus of The Wexner Foundation, shared that his father, Max Laufer, a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps who rebuilt his life in the United States after World War II, passed away recently at the age of 93. He was buried in Petach Tikvah, Israel, his home for the past 14 years. In addition to Rabbi Laufer, he leaves behind a daughter, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Because his passing occurred during Sukkot, the Shiva, which will take place in Israel, will not begin until Monday, October 21 in the evening and extend through Monday morning, October 28.

Condolences can be sent to Rabbi Laufer here.

May his memory be for a blessing.
