On the last Tuesday in August, Chicago area Wexner Graduate Fellowship alumni, current Field Fellows, spouses and children, nearly 60 of us in total, gathered together for our first ever family gathering hosted in the beautiful Base Hillel. We took this opportunity to reconnect, or in some cases meet one another for the first time as we ranged from WGF Class I to Class 27, plus two current field fellows — some Chicago natives and some alumni who had just moved to Chicago this summer. We are looking forward to additional opportunities to come together this year to learn from and with each other and to strengthen our personal and professional connections.
Wexner Graduate Fellowship Alum Ann Luban, (Class 4) and member of the Wexner 
Heritage Program (Chicago Pro-99), is the Director of Jewish Community Engagement at Jewish Child & Family Services in Chicago where she is the liasion to synagogues in Lakeview. Previously she worked as the Director of Recuitment for the Master of Arts in Jewish Professional Studies at Spertus and at Council for Jewish Elderly as a Clinician and as the Director of Holocaust Community Services, an interagency program serving the needs of Holocaust survivors and their families. She is a founding and current board member of Chicago Jewish Day School, teaches adult Jewish education in her local community, and has served on the Executive Boards of the Jewish Communal Service Association and Anshe Emet Synagogue. Ann has published journal articles and a book chapter and has presented at numerous conferences locally, nationally and internationally.
