Sometimes You Just Need to Pick Up the Phone
Last week’s Wexner Graduate Fellowship Alumni (WGFA) Institute was focused on the theme “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants: Sharing the Teachings that Animate our Work and our Lives,” planned by WGF alumni Miriam Heller Stern (Class 13), Scott Meltzer (Class 4) and Devin Villarreal (Class 18). Alumni had opportunities to share what they have learned from the giants in their life. As part of the Institute, Miriam Heller Stern facilitated a “Wisdom Exchange” in which alumni had opportunities to share wisdom from various sources, including TV and movies, family members, colleagues and peers and their Wexner Graduate Fellowship experience. This wisdom was shared through a movement exercise that involved interacting with many alumni at once. At the end, alumni were asked to share a piece of the wisdom they received on a post-it note. Many of those pieces of wisdom are displayed in the slideshow above and we are excited to share these nuggets with the greater Wexner network.
